Windows applications create several files on your hard drive for temporarily storing the data. Each time you run a program, install new programs, browse the internet, check your emails or print your documents, temporary files are created on your system. Over time, these junk and obsolete files can accumulate to megabytes of wasted hard drive space, as well as turn into potential error-producing cross-linked drive references. Even just using your computer normally this accumulated data tends to slow down your computer. Disk Cleaner is responsible to clean your system from junk files and invalid entries. it targets these specific types of files which are missed by common disk utilities like uninstallers, defrag and scandisk etc and cleans this junk and ensures smooth functioning of your computer.

Use WinUtilities to Remove junk files from your system following below:

1. Download and install the latest version of WinUtilities
2. Select the Disk Cleaner utility from main windows
   
    
3. Click Options button under Disk Cleaner main windows, then select Junk Files tab, under this windows, you can check the junk categories of files to search for. or you can create new, edit and delete selected categories. Please NOTE: the defaults setting are best, in case of double press Load Defaults to load default settings.
   
   
   
4. The 2nd tab:  Search options, on this windows, you can customize the search by including and excluding files based on their time, attributes and file size, besides this you can also search for invalid shortcuts on your computer.
   
5. Also, you can customize your filter on the 3rd tab: Skip Folders, on this options windows, you can configure the search process by excluding certain folders from search. if you have any important files in a folder by clicking on the add button. then that folder that you have added will not be searched for junk files.
   
6. The last tab: Cleaning Options, on this windows, you can configure the manner which you would like the junk files to be cleaned.
   
   You can select one of these manner:
   
   Remove junk files from disk
   Move junk files to recycle bin
   Move all files in one folder
   
   
   
   
   To apply advanced cleaning options for the cleaning process, you can click Advanced Options... button, then will see the windows below, select & check the items, then click OK to save your setting.

   Clean Clipboard
   Clean Ras Auto Dial-up History
   Clean System Temporary Files
   Clean Recycle Bin
   Clean Recent Run History
   Clean Recent Documents List
   Clean Recent Windows Logon History
   Clean Find File/Folder History
   Clean Search Computer History
   Clean My Network Places History
   Clean Telnet History
   Clean Internet History
   Clean Internet Temporary Files

7. After you have finished configuration, click Scan Now under main windows to start the cleaning process:
